Industrial Engineer Intern

Grede is seeking highly motivated, innovative, and inspired individuals. Grede’s internship program allows students to gain on-the-job experience in an environment outside of the classroom. This is an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge, enhance their critical thinking, and test drive their careers.
The assignments are project oriented, meaningful to the department and company, allowing co-ops to take responsibility for a major task, and gain experience.
Responsibilities:
Confirms or recommends changes to layouts, labor control and/or material control.
Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
Assists in developing accurate methods and optimum operation layout.
Makes operation descriptions and performs the vital calculations to complete studies and change routines or other systems of labor and material control.
Work well within a team environment, as well as independently.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.
Any other duties, as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college.
Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas:
Industrial Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Technologies
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week.
