Physicist/Engineer (m/f/d) for Frequency Comb System Production

Your Responsibilities:

Definition of custom-tailored frequency comb solutions for applications ranging from quantum technology via optical metrology and spectroscopy to laser reference in close cooperation and communication with our sales team, application experts and product management
Leading customer projects for customized solutions based on our broad product portfolio with a focus on frequency combs and phase-locked or frequency-stabilized diode lasers
Design and setup of highly specialized laser systems for world-leading research institutes and industrial customers, including system integration, testing and approval
Realizing and testing new, customized features and custom-tailored, prototypical solutions
Software control of complete systems, measurement devices and test routines
Internal and external training as well as installation of the new systems, customer support in cooperation with our service team
Your Qualifications:

University degree in physics/engineering (or related discipline) with sound knowledge preferably in the fields of short pulse (fiber) lasers, frequency combs, control electronics, laser stabilization, optical metrology or laser reference

Hands-on experience in laser laboratories in a scientific or industrial environment

Enjoyment of practical lab work and eagerness to fulfil challenging high-tech demands with a clear commitment to quality

Ideally experience in programming (preferably Python), microcontrollers and/or software control of measurement devices

High personal motivation, ability and strong ambition to work in a team and a structured, results-oriented approach
Interest in traveling internationally and good German/English language skills

Ideally first experience in project management, systems engineering or similar disciplines
