I am on the lookout for a Design Engineer to join the team in Longford, Ireland. This role is with a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet and who are committed to being at the forefront of energy industries shift towards sustainable energy production and aim to be carbon net zero by 2050.

This position is suitable for anyone with an Engineering degree or a background in engineering who is looking for a career as a Mechanical Design Engineer. We are happy to take on people with experience and will also consider Engineering Graduates.

What you will be doing:

The successful Design Engineer will work within a team of Engineers and Designers gaining extensive experience in all aspects of the design of high pressure, flow controlling devices. Responsibilities will include reviewing and managing product offering of projects at tender stage as well as generation of specifications and BOMs at order stage.

Participating in design projects from inception to completion.
Review customer inquiry packages.
Preparation of product specification sheets and costing analysis.
Developing and qualifying product designs and documents.
Document design analysis and review to meet specified standards or other industry codes. Preparation of all related documentation for customer sales orders.
Occasional travel to other international locations as required by the business
