Who are you?

As a Senior System Engineer with 10+ years of hardware systems experience, you will take ownership of monitoring the hardware integrity and keep accurate reports to determine life expectancy, maintain our Citrix infrastructure, and partner with leadership at Koch Logistics and Koch Companies Corporate IT on upgrading and implementing new technology.

Salary Range: $105,000 + Experience compensated!

What does this job look like daily?

Help create documentation for all processes and equipment
Assist software IT team in isolating trouble
Create tickets in a timely manner with 3rd party vendors or the Koch IT team to resolve any pending issues and keep everyone informed of status
Coordinate with clients and/or team members to resolve issues, reduce risk, and enhance user satisfaction
Takes ownership of monitoring the hardware integrity and keep accurate reports to determine life expectancy, monitoring when warranties and/or licenses expire
Serving as the highest point of escalation for infrastructure
Leading team remediation for known or found vulnerabilities
Leading (monthly/quarterly) patching of infrastructure
Collaborate with Systems Admin on network & endpoint security at various locations
Maintain Citrix infrastructure
Limited fiscal responsibilities include annual budgeting for department and occasionally provide ROI analysis for new upgrades or modifications to custom software
Contributes to hardware specs and purchasing for both servers, computers and peripherals
Perform diagnosis and resolution tasks for problem/service requests
Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
Facilitating power and redundancies for hub and spoke sites
Collaborating with Systems Admin for backups and backup infrastructure

Qualifications and Requirements for Success

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years’ experience with hardware systems and systems applications – including Microsoft servers/OS
Very familiar with DNS, TCP/IP configuration and server/systems industry best practices
5+ years Citrix knowledge highly preferred (Virtual Apps and Desktops) – provisioning and deployment
5+ years VMware knowledge preferred
Project Management skills
Ability to follow security procedures and assist in immediate response to any threats.
Ability to learn, understand, support and train for new technologies.
High level of adaptability to frequently changing situations and priorities.

Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
5+ years’ experience in systems integration, preferably in transportation industry (knowledge of specialized software applications)
3 – 5 years switching and routing experience
5+ years additional Citrix experience with the following – provisioning services, workspace environment management (WEM), Netscalers and Storefront
5+ years Microsoft Exchange experience preferred
5+ years Palo Alto or related firewall knowledge preferred
3+ Nutanix experience preferred
5+ HPE server experience preferred
5+ years Microsoft Lync/Skype preferred
5+ years Microsoft 365 apps (provision and updates)
3+ MFA experience – OKTA
3+ years Veeam experience – enterprise level backups
3+ years HPE Simplivity
