On behalf of our client, Brunel is looking to recruit a Process Safety and Safety Case Engineer (PSSCE) Engineer with relevant experience in the oil & gas industry. This is a permanent hire position and you will be working for a global leading Offshore Services Provider based in Schiedam, The Netherlands.

Working across all sections of project execution you will be responsible for ensuring that the Company's Hazards and Effects Management Process (HEMP) is followed and Major Accident Hazards reduced as low as reasonably practicable.

The Role of Process Safety and Safety Case Engineer (PSSCE) is within the OPS PSM Team and will work across all sections of project execution. It is an expectation to be able to provide engineering, supply chain, construction and other departments with guidance on current best practice risk management.

Core competencies include:

• Lifecycle hazard management
• Hazard and risk workshop facilitation
• Inherently Safer Design philosophy knowledge
• Barrier based risk management (including):
• Identification of Safety and Environmental Critical Equipment and Tasks
• Functional Task Analysis and Safety and Environmental Critical Task Analysis
• Development and assurance of Performance Standards
• Safety Case development
• Offshore Project Execution from early-phase design to late-phase assurance
• General management and interpersonal skills - able to manage people outside of their organizational team

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering (or a related field)
• Relevant experience in O&G or Petrochemical Industry
• Previous experience in Process Safety Engineering or Human Factors in Barrier Management is required
