SEPAM is seeking an experienced Project Managers for a Battery Energy Storage System project in Rotherham to deliver a 50MW/102MWh. The BESS solution has world-class safety standards and capabilities built into every aspect of system design to ensure the integratration of massive batteries into the national grid providing robust and reliable energy infrastructure to the UK.

The Quantity Surveyor will work as part of the project team on this exciting Battery Storage project and help with some of the following

  1. Quantity Measurement and Estimation: Measuring and quantifying materials, labour, and other resources required for various project components. 

  2. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Working closely with senior team members, you'll assist in preparing cost estimates for the project's different phases. This includes analyzing costs of materials, equipment, labor, and overheads, and ensuring they align with the project budget.

  3. Tender Documentation: Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities (BOQ), specifications, and contract documents. This involves ensuring all relevant details are included for contractors to submit accurate bids etc.

  4. Procurement Support: Assisting in the procurement process by obtaining quotations, evaluating bids, and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors. You'll help in selecting the most cost-effective options while maintaining quality standards.

  5. Cost Control and Monitoring: Tracking project costs against the budget throughout the project lifecycle. This involves regular monitoring of expenditures, identifying cost variances, and providing recommendations for corrective actions to ensure the project remains financially viable.
