SEPAM is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineers for major customer projects globally. We have a number of high profile and exciting projects that require excellent Electrical Design Engineering Talent and we are growing our Saudi Arabian team to support this.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) projects, contributing to the design and implementation of electrical systems for our upstream and downstream facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced design engineering principles and methodologies to develop mechanical designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to develop comprehensive design solutions that meet project objectives and requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design evaluations, and cost estimates to support project planning and decision-making processes.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software and other design tools.
- Perform structural and mechanical analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to assess the integrity and performance of mechanical components and systems.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to optimize design solutions and mitigate potential risks.
- Support the procurement process by providing technical guidance and specifications for the selection and evaluation of equipment, materials, and vendors.
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables and milestones, adhering to project schedules and budgetary constraints.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical design engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and processes.
- Adhere to Saudi Aramco's safety, quality, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex engineering analyses and evaluations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within established deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to mechanical design and engineering.
- Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry or a similar heavy industrial environment is preferred.
