We are currently seeking an Estimating Engineer, based in Barcelona.
Under the supervision of the lead estimator, participates in preparing parts of capex cost estimates (from class 2 to class 5) as Engineering Service Provider on onshore projects (process industries).

We are currently seeking an Estimating Engineer, based in Barcelona.

About Job
- Compile some of the anticipated costs of executing the project (process equipment, bulk materials, construction works, construction supervision, temporary site facilities, engineering services) according to data developed during the engineering phase,
- Coordinates with other departments and collects all needed relevant data for bill of quantities (material take-off) and firming up cost (vendor offers or construction contractor offers),
- Participates in issuing the Cost Estimate Report in due time,
- Indicates the main hypothesis and assumptions,
- Contributes to the client understanding and confidence on the Cost Estimate,
- Be homogeneous with the foreseen accuracy.
About You
- Engineering degree
- High level on Microsoft Excel (proficient)
- Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office softwares (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Power-Bi)
- English and Spanish professional
- Read and understand properly French (some internal documents are written in French)
- Read and understand properly technical documents and project planning
- Basic knowledge of AACE recommended practices (related to Cost Estimating)
- Methodical and analytical mindset
Nice to have:
- At least 2 years experience in Project execution
- Fluent in French (would ease the communication with other operating centers)
- Previous experience within an engineering discipline or procurement / subcontracting
