JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Head of Projects, to join the PMC team based in Ahmadi, to be permanently assigned to our projects, reporting directly to the Projects Director.

About the role we are looking for:

Head of Projects, preferably with previous T.EN experience, who will be responsible for the performance of all works that relate to the ongoing and new assigned projects within the framework of T.EN values, policies, and contract commitments (including HSES, quality, time & cost). He is authorized to deputize for the Projects Director during his absence.

Job Scope and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the performance on assigned projects within the frame of the PMC agreement.
• Responsible for the timely issue of the Project Management Plan (PMP) and proposals.
• Responsible that Project Managers and Department Managers, reporting to him, are mobilized as required by the Contract and the approved PMPs.
• Ensures that the departments reporting to him are properly staffed as needed to support the assigned projects according to the approved PMPs.
• Ensures that the assigned projects are executed according to Contract requirements and Client's expectations in terms of safety, quality, budget and schedule.
• Ensures that all the required reports are issued as per Contractual requirements.
• Manages, informs, and leads the Project Managers and Department Managers reporting to him by setting and monitoring their performance targets.
• Ensures that feedback and lessons learnt are passed from one project to another at the required stages.

Reporting lines and interactions:

• Hierarchically reports to: Projects Director.
• Operationally reports to: Projects Director
• Directly supervises (operationally): Project Managers, Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, and Projects Control Manager.
• Key interactions (internally, externally):
• Internally: Chief Accountant, QHSE Manager, and HR Manager.
• Externally: Other T.EN entities, Client Managers and Team Leaders of the Client's Controlling Team and others.
• Client external Teams, Projects Managers of other PMCs, Managers of EPC contractors and their sub-contractors, vendors, licensors, authorities, partners.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• Experience in EPC projects of value higher than 400M USD, from inception to turnover.
• Excellent time management skills, verbal and written communication skills, and good teamwork skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, good decision-making skills.
• Excellent project management skills, good leadership skills, and ability to pay particular attention to detail.
• Committed and proactive, have a strong sense of collaboration, able to make decisions and learn from every situation. Quick troubleshooting and critical thinking.

Mandatory requirements:

• Minimum 20 years of overall working experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as senior Project management roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Middle East.
• Previous experience as Projects Manager in PMC Projects
• Experience in FEED Projects & Construction Site experience
• Innovative, Solution-oriented, help resolve complex problems
• Flexibility, open to Travel, speak professional English
• Be adaptable and work in multicultural environment.
