Mechanical Engineering Research Intern

About the Internship

We are currently seeking a research intern, reporting directly to the Department Manager to join our Furnace Engineering team based in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will have an active role within the Department. You will gain a deep knowledge of engineering work processes and reporting lines within the company. You will also learn how projects in an international engineering and technology company are run and will help us develop a solution or tackle a problem in response to a research task we will come up with together. This research task can be related to the development, review, or integration of software tools, or methods of effective knowledge sharing.

About You

• You are currently enrolled in an MSc education in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural/Steel Engineering.
• You are comfortable in writing and speaking in English. Being able to understand and speak Dutch is a plus.
• You have an interest in the field of mechanical/furnace engineering and digital initiatives.
• You have some experience with 2D drawing software like AutoCAD, or 3D modeling software like Solidworks, Tekla or Aveva 3D.
• You are a teamplayer and like to work in a team environment.
