Rely, bridging the gap

John Cockerill and Technip Energies; two industry leaders in the hydrogen market, have announced the launch of Rely in November 2023, a unique provider of integrated and competitive green hydrogen solutions. Rely targets the industrial and utility-scale project market, with the ambition of achieving sales of over one billion euros by 2030.

Based in Brussels, Rely is 60% owned by Technip Energies and 40% by John Cockerill, and led by Damien Eyriès of Technip Energies as CEO and Jean Jouet of John Cockerill as CTO. From the outset, the new company will benefit from the services of over 200 hydrogen specialists.

Innovation will play a key role in breaking down cost barriers and enabling rapid growth in Rely's green hydrogen markets. Thanks to a unique research and development platform, which will bring technological improvements, new technologies and products, as well as improved project profitability for the green hydrogen and power-to-X markets.

Specifically, you will be required to :

As part of your training at IFP School, we offer you an apprenticeship in a team in the Rely Tendering & Estimation department. You will be working in the green hydrogen value chain in the context of international project costing.

As an estimating engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participating in the development of bid costs, including hours of service, material and construction costs.
  • Participate in the review of these estimates and presentations with general management.
  • Participation in the enrichment of the benchmarking database.
  • Participation in feedback on previous projects.
  • Develop/update tools used in the department to improve productivity through better automation.


During your apprenticeship, you'll be accompanied by a tutor to answer any questions you may have.

What if it were you?

  • Trained as an engineer, you MUST be enrolled at IFP School for the start of the academic year in September 2024 / 'Energy and Markets' (preferred) or 'Energy and Processes' programs.


  • Autonomous, dynamic and responsive, you have good communication skills and are comfortable working in a multicultural environment.


  • You have a solid command of Excel. PBI is a plus.


  • English is fluent.
