About the Job

• Contribute productively on project executions and work closely with peers / lead to deliver excellent results.
• Capable to perform detailed design activities (layout drawings, MTO, etc).

Main Accountabilities

Electrical:

• Understand and able to apply knowledge of design codes, industry standards and interpretation of specification to meet project requirements.
• Good understanding of drafting and design practices.
• Competent to resolve problems /trouble shoot based on codes and standards and project requirements interpretation.
• Understand Clients specification (e.g. PTS, DEP etc.) and provide service which meet contract requirements

Piping:

• Developing work plans and budgets for bids as well as for assigned projects.
• Supervising and reviewing work of the design team, including those in HVECs.
• Interpreting project design standards and issuing directives/design highlights to ensure consistency in application.
• Planning internal and external model reviews.
• Work with other department as well as disciplines to resolve design conflicts (e.g. pipe routing/support and or clashes with other model objects).
• Supervise/mentor junior and intermediate designers.
• Ensure review and check of engineering and design deliverable

Instrumentation:

• Preparation and checking of Instrument drawings- Instrument cable block diagram, Instrument Location layout drawing, Control room Layout drawing, Instrument wiring diagram, Loop Diagram, Instrument Hook-up Diagram, MCT drawing, Cable routing and trench layout drawings, Bill Of Materials, Instrument Earthing Diagram, System Architecture diagram, Cause & Effect Diagram, Functional Logic Diagram, Level sketches.
• Preparation and checking of Instrument schedule, Cable schedule, System Input/Output list, Alarm & Trip Schedule.
• Inputs to deliverables by various other departments- Input to Cable Trench layout, Input to offshore oil production platform layouts, Input to offshore platform structural weight control report, Input to electrical power consumption list for Instrumentation, Input to air consumption and utility report.
• Inter-discipline review of deliverables from other departments P&ID, Plot plan, Piping GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical single line diagrams, HVAC duct layouts, Hazardous area classification drawings, F&G Layout drawings, F&G C&E Diagram.
• Input to 3D modelling, extraction to 2D and 3D model review.
• Input to INtools (SPI/AVEVA) and report generation.

About You

A. Required Knowledge/Formal Education:

• Diploma in Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical

• Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and position

B. Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5-15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry

• Experience of Concept / FEED / Detailed Design / EPC project phases
