If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Principal Process Engineer Hydrogen Specialist, reporting directly to the Delivery Manager, to join our consulting team based in Houston, Texas.

About the Job

The Principal Process Engineer Hydrogen Specialist will have demonstrated knowledge of applied Process skills including the modeling of the dynamic behavior of the processing systems. Will be expected to manage studies related to Hydrogen Production, Transportation, and storage. The engineer will also oversee integration with renewables and any conversion to other products such as ammonia, synthetic fuels, etc... The Process Engineer may also be required to manage the technical interface with technology licensors/vendors regarding technology application and technical package evaluation. The Principal Process Engineer - Hydrogen will in most instances work embedded in a multidisciplinary project environment where communication with other discipline engineers is key to project success. Therefore, communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing is very important. Would be expected to lead Process efforts on major projects. The principal engineer would be responsible for the mentorship of engineers in areas of expertise. There would be plenty of challenging activities on the job where the senior Process engineer would be expected to show their creativity and ability to manage the challenges within the allotted time and budget constraints.

About You

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science with a minimum of 10 years experience within the Energy and Chemicals Industry with an emphasis in the area of Blue and Green Hydrogen Value Chain.
  • 7+ years of experience in the practice of Process Engineering and Design and possesses well-developed knowledge of process engineering principles and practices along with the understanding of project execution and process involvement.
  • 5+ years of experience with the design and/or operation of Steam Methane Reforming (Hydrogen) or Auto Thermal Reforming (Hydrogen).
  • Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Process Design, specifically Steam Methane Reforming (Hydrogen) or Auto Thermal Reforming (Hydrogen).
  • Minimum of 7 years experience with all Process modeling tools like ASPEN/HYSY, PRO/II, etc. Should have had experience in estimating and creating execution plans for Process work scopes.

Main Skills
  • Strong written and communication skills are essential.
  • The candidate should be able to perform most of the Process activities with little supervision.
  • The candidate should have demonstrated a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Must be a self-starter and committed to team success.
