Candidate Profile

You have a Master's degree or an engineering degree (Bac + 5).

- 5+ years' experience in the renewable energy industry

- Understanding of the technical aspects of the renewable energy industry

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

- Open to frequent travel

- English required

Activities

REN is now looking for its new Development Project Manager - Africa, whose duties will be as follows:

- Ensure that the project meets all the conditions required for construction, by securing and finalising the "Aces" (permits, grid connection and site), financing and selection of EPC constructors.

- Contributing to the maturation of the opportunity with the Business Developer on the project development strategy.

- Direct interaction with external stakeholders such as landowners, local and relevant authorities, public bodies, advisors, grid operators, TSO utilities.

- Lead activities to secure site control, permits and grid connection.

- Coordinate activities for the financial close preparation process with commercial banks and/or international development banks with the transactions and finance teams.

- Prepare and maintain the project schedule

- Prepare and maintain development budget monitoring

- Manage technical development and technical decision-making during project development

- Working with the Construction Manager to prepare and anticipate the construction phase

- Manage the consultation and selection process for EPC contractors, from RFP through to contract negotiations

- Prepare, with the Business Developer, the Country General Manager and the Owner's Representative, the investment file in order to present the most qualitative file to the IDF Investment Committee.

Context & Environment

Within TotalEnergies' Gas Renewables & Power (GRP) business, Renewables (REN) is the division responsible for the development, construction, operation and maintenance, asset management and financing of renewable projects: large and small-scale solar (distributed generation), onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy and storage.

Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025, and 100 GW of operational renewable energy by 2030.

The Projects division is dedicated to managing projects in the development phase, while contributing upstream to the maturation of opportunities under the leadership of the Business Developers.
