Expected qualifications:

• Engineering degree in economics of oil area
• First relevant work experience in energy industry

Technical skills:

• A keen interest in economics and refinery optimization
• Good IT skills/affinity

Computing skills:

• Knowledge of Pack Office (Excel)
• Basic understanding of Linear programmation

Languages:

• English: level C1/C2
• French: level B2.
• German: level B1/B2

TRM is the modernst refinery in Europe (12Mt/y).

As a Support for Refinery Optimization Process, your missions will be the following:

• Support Refinery Economical group in Leuna.
• To participate in Refinery optimization process.
• To develop and update Refinery optimization tools.
• Support in transformation process to net 0 of CO2 emission, bio products co- processing, green hydrogen import and other existing challenges.
• Knowing how to use LP tools.
• Develop and update Refinery optimization tools (linear program, comparison model vs. reality, improving and validating of LP model).
• Gather together monthly plan and all relevant process data to do consistency checks between LP model vs. reality.
• Analyzing the results and using them to update the LP model.
• Organize a monthly meeting the present LP update and show the results of the comparison to the process and planning department as well as to program engineer and modeler in Paris Lead the yearly model committee meeting where results of process models are being presented.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team.

Context & Environment

The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates.
