If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking an Electrical & Instrument Inspector, reporting directly to Quality Manager to join our team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mex.

About the Job

Perform tests, examinations, and inspections at various stages of the project, verify and document that construction installations comply with

quality requirements, codes, standards, and engineering specifications.

Accountabilities;
  • Perform discipline specific inspections, examinations and tests that are required to be executed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices.
  • Capable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipment (M&TE), determine M&TE is in suitable condition for use, and that inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved.
  • Planning and participating in inspections, examinations, and tests.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other design documents.
  • Perform field walk downs to determine work conforms with design documents, applicable codes and standards, and procedures.
  • Performs and documents punch list activity.
  • Maintaining traceability of material/items; document control; special processes; handling and storage.

About You

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements;
  • Five years of satisfactory performance in E&I.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of construction electrical and instrumentation installations, including (but not limited to): cable tray, cable pulling and routing, junction box and terminations, substation and switchgear, duct banks, cathodic protection, lighting, electrical equipment installation, termination and run tests, grounding, conduit, electrical heat tracing and lightening protection.
  • Also demonstrate deep knowledge and experience with electronic and analog instruments and instrument installation including control valves, level gauges, solenoid operation, control valve operation, calibration of process instrumentation, marshalling cabinets, pneumatic systems, analyzer shelters, emission detection equipment, vibration monitoring equipment, pressure, flow, and temperature measuring.
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills, mentoring of other inspection personnel.
  • Understand the concepts for procuring items/ equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.

Qualifications:
  • High school graduation plus 3 years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.
  • or completion of college level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline plus 2 years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.
  • or Graduation from a 4-year college plus 2 years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities.

Languages: Fluent English
