The tasks you will solve:
  • Design and modelling of subsea steel- and GRP structures with corresponding piping layouts, using 2D Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical and 3D Autodesk Inventor software for project execution phases as well as for conceptual-, study- and tender phases
  • From 3D models prepare design drawings for fabrication, layouts drawings and perform necessary interface checks
  • Prepare and develop schematics / P&IDs for structures
  • Understand design drivers given in relevant codes, such as NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, ISO and ASME
  • Read and understand the design-, and functional requirements given in internal / external contractual documents
  • Support fabrication engineers in developing scope of works for fabrication

Experience with analysis and calculations is an advantage but not required.

What we want from you:
  • Technical education BSc or MSc in Civil-, structural or mechanical engineering (Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education)
  • Possess technical knowledge within design of subsea structures
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Relevant software experience: Inventor, Solidworks, AutoCAD etc
  • Advantageous to have experience with design according to the relevant standards: NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, ISO and ASME
  • Well organized and systematic working methods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, flexible in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client's needs dictates
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for several work packages ongoing simultaneously
