JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes. Promote Company HES initiatives, as possible.
• Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processes.
• Study and understand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedules.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of planning control structures in alignment with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Responsible for communications and reporting within internal team and with the client in accordance with contract planning and scheduling meetings schedule(s) and reporting requirements.
• Proactive attitude and ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of the planning and scheduling process for Contract.
• Develop and manage effective relationships with project team and relevant members of client organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with engineering and construction to develop project baseline schedules. Capture project progress status on ongoing periodic basis.
• Analyse project progress status and articulate this to project team and client.
• Prepare / review / approve all project planning and scheduling project status reports as required.
• Participate in Competency assessment reviews and mentoring program for Junior Team members
• Act as an assurance focal point for Planning deliverables
• Participate in Competency assessment reviews and mentoring program for Junior Team members
• Act as an assurance focal point for Planning deliverables.
• Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Produce manpower histograms to provide accurate forecasts of the manpower resources required to execute planned work.

Provide subject matter expert guidance in planning for the assigned projects

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ensure peer review process is in place, participate in these reviews for the schedules prepared to be issued to the Client, as per Lead/ Principal Planners guidance
• Produce and issue updates to project plans and schedules.
• Communicate the impact of schedule delays / conflicts to the project team to assist in the development of recovery decisions.
• Support the Project Controls Manager and Planning Lead, as appropriate.
• Participate in schedule risk analysis as required.
• Continuously chase feedback from the Delivery Team and address any concerns with Lead/ Principal Planner
• Take active part in Nationalisation and development of Junior personnel.
• Support Lead Planning Engineer and assume his duties in his absence
• Where required assist with and provide input to the audit process.
