JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Quality Expeditor (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report to Fabrication Quality Lead (Fab QL) and has responsibility to coordinate all Quality related activity between Contractor Construction/QC at Contractor fabrication yard.
  • Facilitate seamless coordinate between 3rd party inspector (TPI) and Contractor QA/QC team to effectively manage daily inspection activities via the Notification for Inspection (NFI) process. Ensure strict adherence to the NFI process by Contractors & timely completion of inspections.
  • Ensure timely completion of Electronic Inspection Test Record (e-ITR) through iPIM system. Collaborate with System Completion (SC) & Fabrication team to address any procedural changes or updates, ensure alignment and resolution. Verify the completeness & accuracy of e-ITR for turnover.
  • Collaborate closely with TPI to strategically plan & execute inspections, ensuring strict adherence to project design specifications & drawings outlined in the project Inspection & Testing Plan (ITP) & e-ITR. Prioritizing timely completion of inspections to maintain compliance with project requirements.
  • Take proactive measure to collaborate with TPI in identifying potential on-site issues that could lead to inspection failures. Summarize findings & proposed solutions, presenting them to Fab QL daily for further action & resolution.
  • Work closely with Fab QL & Company SMEs to provide support to manufacturer & Contractor QC teams in the development and/or revision of Contractor Quality documents such as (but not limited to) Quality Management Plan, Welding Procedure, NDE Procedure, ITP, Material Management & Control Procedure & Preservation Procedure.
  • Ensure the comprehensive development & publication of Non-Conformance Report (NCRs) & Surveillance Reports (SRs) to meticulously identify & resolve any discrepancies observed during construction activities.
  • Effectively oversee & utilize a tracking & reporting database as required throughout the project lifecycle to monitor & accelerate the completion status of NCRs, SRs & turnover documentation.
  • Oversee the Master Welding Log to track the status of welding joint NDE & provide a comprehensive summary of overall NDE activity. This includes calculating the NDE backlog percentage & weld rejection rate for inclusion in the weekly Quality Report.
  • Ensure diligent oversight of Contractor Qualification process by consistently updating & tracking The Contractor Welder Qualification Database. Additionally, ensure that TPIs are available to attend testing sessions & maintain regular updates on worker Qualification statuses on weekly basis.
  • Representing Company Quality team in site meetings such as (not limited to) Weekly Fabrication Meetings & Weekly Fabrication Progress Update Meetings, ensuring the accuracy of Contractor weekly Quality information & understanding of Company specification & requirement. Follow up on pending Quality issues & raise any Quality concerns identified onsite.
  • Monitor the inspection progress of purchased equipment to ensure that TPI at manufacturer's factory conduct inspections according to the assigned equipment criticality level along with ensuring TPI attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) & Punchlist closure activities & conduct final inspections including submit Inspection Release Report (IRR) & Carry Over Work (COW) list prior to shipping. Collaborate with TPI to address any issues or concerns raised by Company Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Fab QL to facilitate audit activities at fabrication yard, overseeing Contractor compliance with ISO 9001-2015 requirements and ensuring alignment with industry standards & project specifications.
  • Take on an active role in deployment of project safety requirement, fostering a safety culture where safety becomes an inherent & integral aspect of Contractor work practices.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • An individual with a robust background in Quality Control and extensive leadership experience on large-scale construction projects, encompassing Quality inspection & surveillance responsibilities
  • An individual with Lead Auditing function experience is a plus
