JOB SUMMARY

To oversee the operation, utilization, maintenance, repair, and troubleshootingof NOV solids control equipment on location and at workshop. The candidate maintains a close working relationship with all managers, supervisors, and colleagues within the NOV Wellbore Technologies organization. The candidate must also provide "hands-on" support to all departments and actively promote client interface, adherence to NOV policies and procedures and service quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:

• Report to check in desk of appropriate departure point when requested.
• Report to company office as and when requested during normal working hours
• Ensure all required certificates are valid i.e. (Medical / HUET / Basic Offshore Survival / H²S)
• Compile Engineers Job Release forms for each time you visit at the rig side which is to be signed off by the client prior to leaving the side and return these tickets to your supervisor.
• Keep track of spares & tools at the rig site by updating the inventory listings and report loss damage or consumption on the Engineers Job Release forms prior to leaving the rig site.
• Compile and Submit daily equipment performance reports to town at the requested time by client via email or fax.
• To actively participate in personal trainings as identified by NOV Brandt or Client.
• Fully Accountable for the performance of all NOV Brandt rental equipment as well as personnel on location.
• Ensures highest standards of HSE
• Perform Operations in a manner that assists the organization in meeting our safety, operational, and sales goals.
• Manage Inventory of equipment, spares, tools, and all other NOV Brandt supplied items on the location and coordinate this inventory with the Operations Supervisor in the region.
• Ensure service quality is continually enhanced. Set a high standard in Safety, Operations, Maintenance and repair, and efficient use of resources to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the value that our equipment and people bring to their operation.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Work in a safe manner in accordance with applicable practices, procedures and policies from NOV Brandt.
• Abide by applicable safety rules on location as per customer requirements or at the NOV Brandt facility as per NOV Brandt HSE policy
• Ensure equipment is repaired and maintained as per NOV Brandt maintenance schedule stated in the equipment manual and optimize equipment performance.
• Address any equipment performance concerns to your direct supervisor within 24 hours of notice and order materials for rectification of any issues accordingly.
• Ensure Job Sheets are correctly maintained while working on equipment in the workshop to assure proper documentation.
• Ensuring that the housekeeping standards are always maintained and improved.
• Ensure detailed maintenance records of all equipment is compiled as requested by direct supervisor through the provided documentation formats and return this documentation at the end of each shift to your supervisor.
• Ability to operate NOV Brandt equipment as per procedures stated in the manual including but not limited to Centrifuges / Cuttings Dryers / Shale Shakers.
• Ability to maintain & troubleshoot all Brandt equipment including but not limited to Centrifuges / Cuttings Dryers / Shale Shakers.
• Ability to investigate Mechanical Equipment problems.
• Ability to investigate Electrical Equipment problems.
• Ability to work with a computer and send emails.
• Ability to determine NOV Brandt products and their purpose.
• Ability to read and understand mud reports to understand possible equipment performance concerns.
• Ability to determine NOV Brandt products and their purpose.
• Ability to clearly communicate with all personnel onsite and with the client.
• Ability to conduct site survey for possible installation of Centrifuges / Cuttings Dryers / Shale Shakers / Waste Management equipment which shall include as a minimum:
  • Client contact details for all people involved
  • Rig details and rig status at time of survey
  • Upcoming drilling program details
  • Available area including drawings & pictures providing complete measurements
  • Available rig utilities such as power requirements.
  • Proposed equipment layout as agreed on with POB
  • Rig modifications to be made if any
  • Possible challenges to overcome
  • Possible issues still to be agreed upon with the client
  • Possible hazards to overcome

PRACTICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in operating NOV Brandt equipment
• Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting all NOV Brandt equipment
• Proficiency in investigating, identifying, and resolving mechanical equipment issues
• Proficiency in computer literacy, including skills in operating computer systems, utilizing email communication, and proficiently navigating Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• The capacity to examine, ascertain, and resolve issues related to electrical equipment.
• Capable of reading mechanical & electrical equipment & layout drawings
• Should possess the capability to oversee the installation process of NOV Brandt equipment in customer locations.
• It is important to keep accurate job sheets while doing tasks on equipment inside the workshop in order to ensure the appropriate documentation.
• The capacity to conduct a comprehensive site survey for the potential installation of NOV Brandt equipment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERINCE

• Technical degree in Electrical or mechanical
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
