We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client a PROJECT ENGINEER who will based in SAUDI ARABIA on a long-term residential contract. This is a role is in the Power Equipment Rental Sector.

Purpose

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of power rental projects.

This role involves working closely with project managers, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Assist in the planning and design of temporary power plant projects, including the preparation of technical drawings and specifications.

Support the project manager in site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to facilitate the installation and operation of diesel generators, transformers, and MV breakers.

Coordinate logistics with third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.

Assist in leading a team of technicians and electricians, providing technical support and guidance as needed.

Help monitor third-party operations to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Contribute to the maintenance of inventory for consumables and spare parts, ensuring availability for ongoing service and repairs.

Liaise with customers to coordinate daily production schedules and address any concerns.

Experience/Qualifcations Required

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Certification in Project Management and AutoCAD is highly desirable.

Training in power generation, distribution, and safety protocols preferred.

Strong understanding of electrical circuits, generators, transformers, and distribution systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD.

Knowledge of short circuit analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

At least 1-2 years of experience in the power generation or related field, with a focus on project engineering tasks.
