Candidate Profile

• Higher education degree in engineering
• 8 years' experience in development or operation of hydroelectric projects, ideally with experience in the field of PSPs
• Good knowledge of the international hydropower market and its players
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), a second language would be an advantage
• Regular business trips availability

Activities

The Flexible Power Generation business unit is looking for a Hydropower Operations Engineer to identify and analyse hydroelectric development opportunities, particularly for Pumped Storage Plants (PSP) with a special focus for Europe and North America.

As an Operations Engineer, you will have the following main tasks:

• Contribute to the preparation of commercial development strategy (including acquisition of existing projects and development of greenfile projects) and of business plan ;
• Ensure operational excellence and profitability of Hydro/PSP assets ;
• Prepare methodological tools to evaluate assets for identifying the most promising opportunities and projects ;
• In liaison with the other entities of the Integrated Power BU, contribute to the market analyses and the necessary monitoring of the energy sector, technologies and political/regulatory developments ;
• Participate to the structuring of transactions and the negotiation of potential commercial contracts with co-developers, investors and contractors.
