We are currently seeking a part-time HSEQ Adviser to join the wider HSEQ team within Projects & Offshore Operations (P&OO), the business area which supports all Subsea7 vessels, equipment and crew working on global projects.

The role is responsible for advising and guiding on various aspects of HSEQ activity and will predominantly focus on Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Additionally, support will also be given to the wider HSEQ team including assisting with the collation and maintenance of audit schedules, critical group and functional quality assurance related tasks, identifying process improvements and undertaking gap analysis within management system and functions.

As an Ambassador for HSEQ you will partner with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including project, operations and site personnel, and vessel and equipment senior management.

Using your effective communication and influencing skills you will provide advice and coaching to ensure positive collaboration and compliance with HSEQ processes and activities.

What does the role involve?
  • Implement and improvement of organisational Quality ways of working, including setting up appropriate methodology, tools and practices to support sustainable Quality leadership, performance and compliance. Champion initiatives and projects.
  • Establish and implement Quality Assurance, Surveillance & Project Technical Solutions, including establishing audits and programs compliant with systems, company procedures and governance requirements.
  • Utilise knowledge management tools to capitalise from Lessons Learned to mitigate risk.
  • Investigate and report on HSEQ incidents, identifying failings, loss and ensuring improvements are identified and implemented.
  • Promote continual improvement and quality awareness, devising training/coaching materials and delivery of same, as required.
  • Support and participate in internal certification audits, ISM, ISO, Vessel Assurance and ISPS audits
  • Review, monitor and address Supplier Quality Requirements.
  • Conduct and verify HSEQ inspections, report findings and effectiveness of corrective action.
  • Manage non-conformity tracking, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Worksite level HSEQ data review, analysis and trending

What experience would we like you to have?
  • A significant understanding of ISO 9001 standards and principles
  • Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
  • Trained in Taproot or similar tool on investigation analysis
  • International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) certified
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute
  • Relevant experience of management systems gained within HSEQ role is desirable.
  • Effective analytical skills, applies creative problem solving, will suggest and develop new methods and ways of working.
  • A collaborative worker who builds effective relationships across a global and highly diverse business.
  • Understanding of stakeholders' needs and ability to suggest and apply 'fit for purpose' solutions.
  • Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities and works with minimum supervision, while also contributing to the wider team activities.
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced 24/7 global business.
  • Approachable with the ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Pro-active with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders, both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
  • Ability to undertake reasonable UK and overseas travel to worksites, ports and offshore, as required.
  • Progressive thinking, pro-actively seeks to develop own learning and awareness of regulatory change.
  • IT proficient across MS Office. Relevant experience of HSEQ management is desirable.
