- Main person in charge to perform trial blends for product development work. Ensure the optimal formula in accordance to specifications and requirements.
- Perform sample testing in compliant to WI/SOP, IATF 16949 (Automotive QMS) and ISO 9001
- Perform blending failure investigations to determine the root cause and preventive actions.
- Set up new testing method and perform regular review of existing testing method according to latest ASTM/ISO testing method or any other latest company reference guidelines.
- Author & update the test analysis related work instructions. Ensure it is implemented with the training of the lab technicians.
- Monitor marginal pass blending quality trend to prevent failure at blending & filling.
- Monitor and analyze any abnormal trends of QC samples using SPC on monthly basis.
- Ensure the preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration of laboratory equipment are performed in timely manner according to schedule. Ensure the reports are reviewed against the requirements.
- Manage the PM and calibration events in LIMS by creating the events, opening and closing the events.
- Liaise and coordinate with external vendors on the repair works, preventive maintenance, and any other routine/non-routine jobs. Ensure the work is completed as required.
- Troubleshoot any analytical problems/errors arising from instruments.
- Review the equipment event log sheet on weekly basis and determine necessary action required to prevent equipment breakdown/failure. Ensure the log sheet is up to date & accurate.
- Perform regular update of equipment maintenance checklist. Ensure the availability of maintenance checklist for existing and new equipment.
- Work closely with Production and monitor production order to ensure the daily consumption of balance oil
- Maintain 5S and proper housekeeping of the Laboratory
- Assist in routine and non-routine samples analysis in the event of manpower shortage.
- Participate in Operational Excellence projects.
- Administrative duties as required and assigned by Laboratory Manager
